How to: Install Microsoft Fax.
Solution:
Run 'Add/Remove Programs', and click the 'Windows Setup' tab. Select 'Microsoft Fax' and click 'OK'.
NOTE 1: The following steps require the original Windows 95 disks or CD-ROM or the server-based shared installation of Windows 95.
NOTE 2: Your computer must be equipped with a fax modem, or attached to a network linked to a fax modem.
NOTE 3: If Microsoft Exchange is not already installed, it automatically installs when Microsoft Fax is installed.
1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
2) Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'. (The 'Control Panel' dialog box appears.)
3) Double-click the 'Add/Remove Programs' icon. (The 'Add/Remove Programs Properties' dialog box appears.)
4) Click the 'Windows Setup' tab.
5) Select the 'Microsoft Fax' check box.
6) Click 'Details...'. (The 'Microsoft Fax' dialog box appears.)
7) If necessary, select the 'Microsoft Fax Services' check box and select the 'Microsoft Fax Viewer' check box.
8) Click 'OK' and click 'OK' again. (A dialog box appears instructing you to insert the Win95 disks.)
9) Insert the Windows 95 CD-ROM or floppy disk 1 into the appropriate disk drive, or browse the network for the directory containing the Win95 setup files.
10) Click 'OK' to start the installation. (The 'System Settings Change' dialog box appears.)
11) Click 'Yes' to restart the computer.
